Born in Jackson, Michigan to Pastor A. Polk and the late Annie Pearl Williams.
Accepted Jesus Christ as Personal Savior at age 7
Educated in the Jackson Public School System, 1975 Graduate of Parkside High School, Jackson Michigan. Holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Michigan State University Musician and Choir Director, Second Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson
Originator of the Annual (Midnight) Musical, Held each New Year’s Eve Past Choir Director, Chain Lake Missionary Baptist District Association, currently assists as worship leader for Chain Lake District Director of Baptist Training Union Ministry at Second Baptist

Kathy Williams White is a witness to the healing power of God, as she was afflicted with a cerebral (brain) aneurysm in 1984.  Underwent 12 hours of surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital, and fully recovered. In 1986, founded the Bobby Lay Memorial Scholarship at Second Baptist.

The scholarship was established in memory of a 12-year-old member of Second Baptist who passed away due to cancer in 1980.  He instructed his mother to give his savings to the church and also to share with his pastor when he died.  The scholarship is awarded each year to high school graduate, and to date over 100 young people have been recipients.

In 2005, Kathy publicly acknowledged her calling into the ministry to her pastor, and co-founded along with Janice Sweet Fairley “Sisters In Ministry”, a community based ministry that exists to provide spiritual, educational, social and physical resources to equip sisters to serve the Lord

Previously employed with the State of Michigan in the Unemployment Insurance Agency for more than 20 years.  Currently employed with Michigan Health & Hospital Association Service Corporation Unemployment Compensation Program as a Claims Representative for Employers

Married to Warren White for the past 22 years, mother of 5 children, Jasmyn, Drew, Adam, Kendra and Kenny. Continues to work diligently as unto the Lord, providing instruction, discipleship and educational resources with those whose lives I come across.
